Judges Criteria

THE PHARAOH HOUND CLUB

JUDGES LIST CRITERIA

1 JUNE 2014 – 31 MAY 2015

 

A1 List  

For persons who have previously been approved by the Kennel Club and who have already carried out their first appointment to award Challenge Certificates in this breed.

 

A2 List  

For persons who would, in principle, be approved by the Kennel Club to award Challenge Certificates and who have achieved the necessary criteria to be included on the A3 specialist/non specialists list and achieved the KC minimum training needs for first time CC judges.

 

A3 List   

For persons the Club would support to award Challenge Certificates but who, as yet have not been approved by the Kennel Club for inclusion on an A2 List

 

A3 List: BREED SPECIALISTS

 Must have a minimum of seven years judging experience in the breed and have the support of the PHC.

 

  Must have judged the breed at seven Open Shows or Championship Shows without CCs with an adequate geographical spread.

 

  Must have judged a minimum of fifty Pharaoh Hounds in breed classes. Must have bred and/or owned a minimum of three Pharaoh Hounds when they obtained their first entry into the KC Stud Book (save in exceptional circumstances).

 

  Must have attended at least one breed specific seminar run in accordance with the relevant KC Code of Best Practice and passed a PHC judges examination.

   Must have attended a seminar by a KC accredited trainer, and passed the   relevant exam on KC Regulations and Judging Procedures.

 

  Must have attended a Points of the Dog Assessment conducted by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the assessment.

 

 Must have attended a seminar given by a KC accredited trainer on Conformation and Movement.

 

  To have stewarded at 12 Shows.

 

A3 List: NON BREED SPECIALISTS

 Must have a minimum of seven years judging experience in any one breed to include five years judging of Pharaoh Hounds and have the support of the PHC.

  

  Must have judged the breed on at least seven occasions.

 

 Must have judged a minimum of fifty Pharaoh Hounds in breed classes.

 

 Must award Challenge Certificates in at least one other hound breed.

 

 Must have passed the PHC’s judges exam.

 

 

B List: BREED SPECIALISTS

 

 Must have been active in the breed for at least five years.

 

 Must have attended a PHC approved seminar on the breed.

 

  Must have judged at least four classes at Open Show level or higher.

 

 

B List: NON BREED SPECIALISTS

 

 Must have attended a PHC approved seminar on the breed.

 

  Must have judged at least ten Pharaoh Hounds in breed classes or judged a Hound Group at Open Show level or higher.

 

 Must have judged their own breed for at least five years at Open Show level or higher.

 

  Must have shown an interest in the breed.

 

 

C List:  BREED SPECIALISTS

 

For aspirant judges who have shown an interest in the breed and who have the support of the Club.

 

C List: NON BREED SPECIALISTS

For aspirant judges who have shown an interest in the breed and who have the support of the Club.

 

 

Meeting any or all of the above criteria does not necessarily guarantee inclusion on any list.
